CONSERVATIVE
Care and maintain a healthy smile
The dental branch that deals with treating the damage generated by caries and trauma, preserving the original structure and shape of the tooth, is called conservative dentistry. Filling is a technique that falls within this branch and is performed to remove decayed dental tissue and restore superficially or moderately affected teeth. This procedure guarantees the total restoration of the carious tooth structure.

ENDODONTICS
Repair and cure
When a caries not treated in time has completely damaged the outer layer of enamel, pierced the dentin layer and reached the dental pulp, often causing severe pain, a simple filling is not enough to solve the problem: it is necessary to proceed with the devitalization of the tooth . The branch that deals with this kind of therapy is called endodontics. In order for more serious consequences such as the onset of abscesses to not develop, the dentist must intervene promptly and treat the inflammation or infection of the pulp. The dental pulp is a soft tissue located inside the tooth and protected by the hard layers called dentin and enamel. It is made up of connective tissue, nerves and blood vessels and reaches up to the tip of the tooth roots (apex). Once the pulp ignites it must be removed because it cannot spontaneously vanish.
