IMPLANTOLOGY TREATMENTS
RegenerativeBone
A lack of bone is unfortunately not a rare case and in some cases compromises the possibility of immediately placing an implant to replace the missing tooth. This condition can occur, for example, following complex extractions, gum diseases such as periodontitis, or situations of edentulism neglected for a long time. The need or otherwise of a graft is determined in the diagnostic phase, when the specialist is responsible for verifying the patient's suitability for the requested implant therapy. Before proceeding with the insertion of one or more implants, it is necessary to carry out accurate radiological examinations of the areas to be operated on, i.e. panoramic radiographs of the arches and, where necessary, 3D CT scans. Once the surgery has been carried out, you may have to wait a few months before placing the implant. After the osseointegration of the implant into the new bone, the missing tooth or teeth can be replaced.
